Cinnamon Hot Chocolate Recipe

Serves one – double the quantities for more

Ingredients:

30ml cinnamon syrup
3 tsp hot chocolate powder
Milk
Squirty cream
Caramel sauce
Pecan nuts
Cinnamon stick (for decoration)

Method:

Step one: In a jug, mix 3 teaspoons of your favourite hot chocolate powder with a splash of milk to form a thick paste.

Step two: Gently warm a cup full of milk in a saucepan or microwave – enough to fill the mug you’re using. Once warmed add to the hot chocolate paste, whisking to form a smooth liquid.

Step three: Grab your go-to autumn mug and pour in the syrup, followed by the hot chocolate mixture. Give it a stir.

Step four: Top the hot chocolate with cream, a generous drizzle of caramel sauce, a sprinkling of pecan nuts and a cinnamon stick for extra seasonal goodness.

Step 5: Snuggle up in front of the fire & enjoy!

Pumpkin Place Setting

What you will need:

Orange cloth napkin
Napkin ring
Cinnamon stick

Method

Step one: Lay the napkin out flat right side down. Place the napkin ring in the centre and push a small amount of the fabric up into the ring so it sticks up and you’re able to hold it.

Step two: With one hand, hold the fabric you’ve pushed through the ring and with your other hand push the four corners of the napkin over into the napkin ring. Continue to fold over the napkin fabric into the ring to form a round shape.

Step three: Turn the napkin over and pull and push the fabric gently around the ring to plump out your pumpkin shape. Once you’re happy, place a cinnamon stick in the centre to act as the pumpkin stalk.

Step four: Set your table setting with cutlery and a Halloween-inspired plate and place the pumpkin napkin in the centre of the plate.

Step five: Repeat step one to four for the number of guests you have coming to dinner and get set for a spooky get-together.
