In March 2006, we collaborated with designer, cook and loving mother of two, Sophie Conran, to combine our mutual love and respect for contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship. 18 years later, the collaboration continues offering a range of beautiful tableware, cookware and linens perfect for modern-day living.

Sophie has turned her passion for cooking, design and family life into her work. As a child, Sophie had the opportunity to enjoy and learn from both her father’s design studio and her mother’s kitchen and garden, their passions and creativity providing her with inspiration and motivation.

Each of the Sophie Conran for Portmeirion ranges are designed to bring a touch of beauty to the everyday. “I believe that surrounding yourself with objects that bring delight and contentment to the daily acts of eating and drinking makes life more joyous”, says Sophie.

Every piece in the collection is made to look and feel good so they are a pleasure to use and enjoy daily. Sophie Conran White was the first design to launch as part of the Sophie Conran for Portmeirion collection and is still loved in homes all over the world 18 years later. A timeless white porcelain range, featuring Sophie’s signature ripple design, each item has a wonderful tactile, hand-thrown silhouette.

Versatile and practical, the pieces are delicate to the touch, yet highly durable. From classically stylish plates, bowls and teaware to cookware, serving pieces, storage and cutlery – there's something for everyone.

Being a cook herself, Sophie designs with cooking and serving in mind. The White collection ceramic cookware, which includes casserole and pie dishes along with a variety of different-sized roasting dishes, is not only practical but food looks great in them too. Each item can go straight from being frozen to a hot oven, and then to the table. Some pieces, with an unglazed bottom, allow it to be used directly on electric, halogen, Aga and Rayburn hobs or hot plates to fry, boil or stew.

Perfect for elegant dinner parties or relaxed breakfasts, the Sophie White collection can be effortlessly styled for every occasion. As well as beautiful porcelain pieces, the collection includes a range of gorgeous textiles for the kitchen and tabletop. Matching the Lavandula tableware with an all-over floral print design, the tea towels, napkins, table runner and tablecloth provide the perfect finishing touch to your spring/summer tablescapes. An online exclusive, the Sophie Conran Arbor and Floret range is a capsule collection of tableware and cutlery inspired by nature. The ceramic pieces are made from stoneware using organic Iberian clay, a hardwearing and sustainable material perfect for forming bowls, plates and serving pieces to use every day.

The collection features two different designs, equally as beautiful and made to sit alone or together. The Energies home fragrance collection from Sophie Conran offers seven beautifully balanced fragrances that are aligned to our chakras or energy centres across a selection of candles and reed diffusers. Choose from Strength, Freedom, Purpose, Clarity, Communication, Wisdom and Balance.

Featuring essential oils, such as olibanum, lavandin, and clary sage, the thoughtful scents have been designed to restore a sense of equilibrium in our lives. The candles are beautiful, cylindrical-shaped vessels featuring the iconic ripple design and filled with coloured wax scented with fragrances such as . Once burnt down (up to 80 hours later) the candle pots can be re-used as pen pots, make-up brush holders or even toothbrush holders.

 The matching reed diffusers are available in a curved bouquet vase shape and come with thick natural reeds to throw the desired scent into your space. Once all the diffuser liquid has soaked through, simply fill the vessel back up with another Sophie Conran scent and pop in new reeds. A wonderful way to keep your home smelling fresh.
