Absolutely love this set. It's quirky but still looks elegant. There is so much to collect to have a really great dinner set. Delivery efficient, one plate arrived broken and it was replaced promotly, with no hassle at all.

Sophie Conran 12 piece tableware set
I bought this set for my daughter and she is over the moon with the quality and design of the product. Product arrived quickly although two of the plates were damaged in transit the customer service department dealt with this quickly and sent me a replacement. This has not detracted from me purchasing from Portmeirion again as no doubt i will buy further pieces from the Sophie Conran range for my daughter.

The products are lovely and stylish so I bought sets of 8 dinner plates 8 side plates 8 cereal 8 pasta bowls and a large serving dish. Already they show signs of what looks like pencil markings leaving a grey looking finish. I wrote to customer services who suggested I buy a product called “Bee keepers friend”. If that didn’t work contact Portmeirion. I would have thought as I purchased the items from a Sophie Conran online that they would do the contacting! We paid good money but so disappointed that they are looking grey. I have ordered the cleaning product it’s not brilliant but...

Lovely set, but wish it was a bit more durable
I love this set. I have had it for just over a month now. We have been using these as everyday. The only issue I have had is that the dinner plates have been scratched a little bit in the diswasher already. Which is weird as I have never had this issue before with cheaper plates. So I will have to take more care when loading the dishwasher. I am a little disappointed by this as I did want the set to last for a long time.

Do Sophie conran portmerion white plates and bowls stack as I have little kitchen place . Thanks janet
They do stack, although as they are uneven, it probably takes up a little more space in height. We have not had a problem and we really love them though.

Are these dishes lead and cadmium free and free of any toxins?

All of the products that we sell are tested to a British standards and these all pass. This includes the Sophie Conran Set to which you refer, we also test our tableware to Prop65, which is a very stringent USA test and all of the products comply and completely pass the testing.
We do not add any cadmium or lead to our products. I will contact you via your email address as I have a leaflet, which may be of interest.
