The Spring Fair exhibition was a great success. Portmeirion’s two-storey stand made a huge impression on Hall 2 and featured many new products and ranges. The high profile stand attracted many visitors and many new accounts were opened.
The Crazy Daisy line extensions went down a storm with the trade, particularly the new mini mugs and espresso cups that capitalise on the UK’s new found love of café culture. The new introductions in the Sophie Conran for Portmeirion range received similar acclaim and were hugely popular with the trade and the press alike.
Sophie Conran made a special appearance on the Monday bringing an added buzz to the day and a lot of media attention ensued. Those lucky enough were able to get hold of a signed copy of Sophie Conran’s Pies. The day was also an inspiration to Sophie who is now already planning new additions for 2008.
Visitors were also thrilled to see Pimpernel showcased by Portmeirion, many commenting that it was a pleasure to see the wide range of designs of placemats, coasters and trays back on the shelves. As such, they were a great success and orders for Pimpernel placemats, coasters, trays and mugs rolled in throughout the week, greatly contributing to Portmeirion’s triumph at the show.
