Portmeirion Group Plc ("Portmeirion" or "the Company") announces that it has
issued and allotted 41,700 new ordinary shares following the exercise of options
granted under the Portmeirion 2002 employee share option scheme. Accordingly,
application has been made for 41,700 new ordinary shares to be admitted to
trading on AIM on 11 June 2007.

Following this, the number of ordinary shares in issue will be 10,504,730. Of
these 677,218 are held in treasury and do not carry any voting rights.
