Total Voting Rights and Share Capital

For the purposes of the transitional provisions of the Financial Services
Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the total number of ordinary
shares of 5p each of Portmeirion ('Ordinary Shares') in issue as at the
date of this notice is 10,563,030. Of these 659,074 Ordinary Shares are held
in treasury and these do not carry any voting rights.

The number of Ordinary Shares in issue which carry voting rights is 9,903,956
with each share carrying the right to one vote.

Therefore the total number of voting rights in Portmeirion is 9,903,956.

The above total voting rights figure may be used by shareholders as the
denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are
required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest 
in, Portmeirion, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
