Councillor Paul Shotton visited Portmeirion’s head office in Stoke-on-Trent on 21st March 2007 to present the company with the prestigious platinum award for ‘Better Health Better Business’ on behalf of the Stoke-on-Trent City Council and its partners.

The very first business to receive the platinum certificate – the highest level possible – the award celebrates Portmeirion’s clear commitment to safer, fairer, healthier, environmentally friendly workplaces and delivering excellence in customer services.

Alan Devine, Portmeirion’s Human Resource Director said “Portmeirion are thrilled to be the first company to get the Platinum award. It’s great that we are being recognised for looking after our staff and customers – and we will make sure that we maintain our standards.”
